A partnership born at the Villa Medici

It was at the Villa Medici that Jean Marc Lange met the sculptor Jacqueline Georges Deyme, winner of the Premier Grand Prix de Rome in 1963. Between them grew an emotional and professional bond that still nourishes their respective worlds today.

In 1972, back in France, they married in La Celle-Saint-Cloud and set up their studios there, in two adjoining houses linked by a small inner door. At the mayor’s request they founded a sculpture studio in the town, alongside a school of music and dance.

They have often exhibited together since: in 2014 at La Celle-Saint-Cloud town hall, and in 2016 at the Centre d’art contemporain de la Matmut with “Chaleur & Obsession”.
