A lesson in looking
From this house recomposed by a painter, everything breathes a grave elegance, between East and Renaissance. The filtered light glides over a marble head, a fold of drapery, a window reveal. It was in this setting that Jean Marc Lange, a resident, learned from Balthus not a technique, but a lesson in looking.
